Joe McGranaghan has lived in Shamokin Dam Borough since 1978 and began his service to the borough his 4th week in the community.Beginning as a Planning Commissioner he was subsequently elected to Borough Council in 1980, serving for 12 years as Council President.Joe has a total of 21 years as a Shamokin Dam Councilman.In the early 1970’s he served four years on the Chambersburg, PA Borough Council.Joe was appointed Mayor of Shamokin Dam in January of 2009 when then Mayor Jack Treas’ declining health forced him to resign.In November of 2009 Joe was elected to a full 4 year term and re-elected in 2013. Joe is a member of the Executive Board of the Pennsylvania State Mayors Association.Outside his borough duties, Joe serves as Chairman of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber’s Transportation Committee and as Chairman of the Central Susquehanna Valley Thruway Project Task Force. He is currently Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Sunbury Community Hospital. He served two terms as President of Chamber and five terms as President of S.I.D.C.O. (the Chamber’s economic development arm).He is a member of Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Selinsgrove and served as Chairman of Parish Council.Joe is the retired President of Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation. He is a past President of the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters and a 2011 inductee into the Pennsylvania Broadcasting Hall of Fame.Joe and his wife Bonnie reside on Baldwin Boulevard in the Orchard Hills section of the borough.
David Herbert, President of Council

David Herbert is serving his third term on Borough Council. In addition, he served a term as Borough Tax Collector from 1998-2001. David and his wife Brenda live at 205 10th Avenue for 40 years, where both of their two grown children were raised. Brenda is retired from being a pre-school teacher at St. John's Lutheran Church in Northumberland. David is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and has recently retired as Controller from Keystone Building Products, Inc. in Selinsgrove. He held this position for 18 years. David is Vice-Chairman of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He also serves as President of the North-Eastern Snyder County Municipal Authority, as a member of the Susquehanna Industrial Development Corp. (SIDCO), and as a member of the Snyder County Higher Education Authority. In the past he has served as Chairman of the Snyder County Industrial Development Authority, and as Chairman of the Tax Study Commission of the Selinsgrove Area School District. David is most proud of being a 17 gallon blood donor to the American Red Cross. David takes great pride in the friendly, beautiful Borough we live in and will work to keep it that way.

Andrew E. Bickhart has resided in the Shamokin Dam Borough since 1981. He and his wife, Vicky, live on the North Old Trail section of the borough. Andy was elected to his first term on Borough Council in 2003 and re-elected in 2011. During the summer months he is involved in Little League Baseball programs at the Local, State, and International levels. Andy's other hobbies are classic cars, especially Mustangs, and model railroading.

Mark lives with his wife Debra on the Old Trail in Shamokin Dam. They have two grown son's Joshua and Matthew. Mark is a life-long resident of Shamokin Dam and is a direct descendant of the Hottenstien's who are prominent in Shamokin Dam’s history. Mark is a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church in Shamokin Dam where he served as a Confirmation Teacher for several years and currently serves on the Church Council. He was first elected to Borough Council in 2005 and was reelected in 2013. Since 2003 he has served Shamokin Dam as our Emergency Management Coordinator. For the past 30 years Mark has provided active service with the Shamokin Dam Vol. Fire Company #1, for the last 18 of them he served as the Fire Chief. Mark was instrumental in creating the Shamokin Dam Fire Services Task Force. He is employed as a Financial Representative with Thrivent Financial Services for Lutherans.

Robert Herbert returns to Shamokin Dam Council after a four year break. Bob first started his service to Shamokin Dam Borough in January of 1984 when he was appointed to Council to fill out the unexpired term of Councilwoman Jane Bower. Bob continued to serve on Council for the next 25 years. From 1999 to 2003 Bob served as Council Vice President and from 2004 to 2009 as Council President. During the past four years Bob has served on the Shamokin Dam's Zoning Hearing Board. He was re-elected to Council in 2013. Bob and his wife Elaine live on Snyder Street in the Borough. He has two children, Rob and Diana, and two grandchildren. Bob has lived in Shamokin Dam since 1966.

Don Musser is a life-long resident of Shamokin Dam Borough. Don and his wife, Robyn, live on Rome Court in the Orchard Hills section of the Borough. He is a member of Saint Matthews Lutheran Church in Shamokin Dam. Don was first elected to Council in 2003 and was reelected in 2011. He servied as Council President from 2010-2013. Don follows in the footsteps of his father who was a Shamokin Dam Borough Councilman in the 1960’s. Don is active in other areas of community life, serving as a member of the Selinsgrove Athletic Council and he serves on the SUN Technical School Automotive Advisory Committee.

Dave and his wife Deb have lived on Helen Street in the Borough since 2001. He was born and raised in the Borough and lived here until 1984 and then moved back in 2001. He and his wife have two grown children, Dustin and Nahtanha and four grandchildren. Dave has been involved in Boy Scouts of America since 1993 and served as treasurer for Troop 419 in Selinsgrove for 15 years; and has been involved with the Selinsgrove Relay for Life for the past 14 years. He works as a Realtor with Villiager Realty Inc. in Selinsgrove. His greatest joy in life is spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ed has served as Shamokin Dam’s Borough Manager since January of 2004 and greatly enjoys the day to day interaction with the citizens and businesses of the Borough. Ed will tell you that the Manager position in a small Borough such as Shamokin Dam involves having many challenging and diverse responsibilities. He also has enjoyed working with the Borough staff, Council members, Mayor, police and fire departments. Prior to assuming his duties with the Borough Ed worked 20 years in a local architectural firm as a project architect overseeing the design and construction of many area building projects. He is currently the vice-chairman of the Northumberland County Planning Commission and Recreation Committee and serves on the Snyder County Solid Waste Advisory and Sewage Code Enforcement Committees. Ed is also a member of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee. In his free time he enjoys refereeing basketball games, golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

Since November 2007 LaDawn has served as the Shamokin Dam Borough Secretary. She currently serves as the Shamokin Dam Open Records Officer and on the Snyder County Tax Collection Commission. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, family, and friends.
Timothy E. Bremigen - Chief of Police
After graduating from Warrior Run High School in 1992, Tim attended college and obtained his police training from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.In 1995 he joined the Sunbury Police Department and served as a Patrolman, Criminal Investigator, Drug Investigator and held 2 supervisory ranks before being promoted to Chief of Police in 2006.During his tenure with the Sunbury Police Department, he was involved with a number of community related functions and enjoyed working with the youth and elderly.Tim was appointed Chief of Police By Shamokin Dam's Borough Council in September of 2011. His appointment took effect upon the retirement of long time Police chief Robert L. Lockcuff in November of 2011.

Bob is a native of Bradford Pa. but has resided in and practiced law in Snyder County since 1977. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University. Bob has been in the general practice of law since 1975 and currently practices law with his son, Matthew, in Selinsgrove. He is married to the former Alida Archbald and they have 3 adult children. Bob is a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Shamokin Dam and has served on the church Council. Over the years Bob has been very active in Scouting, serving as Cub master of Cub Pack 3419 in Selinsgrove, Scoutmaster of Scout Troop 419 in Selinsgrove, and he currently serves Scout Troop 419 as its Committee Chairman. He is also a member of the Selinsgrove Athletic Council, a Board member of the Snyder County Chapter of the American Red Cross, a Board member and Treasurer of the Selinsgrove Chamber of Commerce, and is a past master of Lafayette Lodge No. 194, F & A.M., Selinsgrove.

DeAnn was born and raised in Freeburg Pa. and lived there until 1979 when she moved to the Seslingrove area. DeAnn is a graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School and served as the treasurer for her graduating class. In 1987 she married Robert Lockcuff, and moved to Shamokin Dam. In 2001 she was elected as the tax collector for Shamokin Dam Borough and was reelected in 2015.
